Electronic soldering should not be done with acid core solder. The acid in the core will “eat” over the board over time. I would choose a rosin-core solder with a <1mm diameter.

Lead-free solder should give an excellent metallurgical bond if the board is preheated. 150 degrees F - 200 F for 2 - 3 minutes is suggested.

Flux is another issue. Flux gives oxygen away when heated. Oxidation repels solder so flux is very important.

To conclude, Lead-free rosin-core solder will work if the board is preheated. If you do not have access to a pre-heater, 63 / 37 lead solder can be used. A solder wire with a <1mm diameter is highly recommended for electronics work.
